MEMBERS Dale Calandra Vitae Dale Calandra is a versatile Director/Actor/Writer/Producer based Chicago, Illinois. As Creative Director of Planet iii Films, he oversees the development, scriptwork and casting of all projects. His writing projects include: Original Screenplays: -K-10 (action/thriller) -lifeidreamedof (ensemble drama) -Now You See Me (mystery/drama). Original Television Pilots/movies : -Whispering Meadows (modern western/family drama) -The Amazing Adventures of Sydney Bederman (inspirational drama). He was Founding Member/Interim Artistic Director/Associate Producer of Center Theater Ensemble (17 years), where he Directed over thirty productions and Developed/ Produced more that 50 projects. His critically acclaimed Script/Direction for Lysistrata, 2411 A.D. the musical, was published by Doubleday and continues to be produced across the country. For Festival Theatre, Illinois’ oldest outdoor Shakespeare company, he served as Artistic Director/Producer (12 years). And for The Training Center for the Working Actor, he was Creative Director/Master Acting Teacher (20 years). He continues to Private Coach in acting, scriptwriting, project development, and career planning. He was Director/Co-writer/Producer for several one-person shows: Denise LaGrassa’s Is There Anything Really Going On Upstairs? and Tom Mula’s The Circus of Dr. Lao. He has appeared in numerous national commercials and has directed industrial films for Jack Morton Productions. As an Actor, he has worked with Chicago’s premiere theatres. Favorite roles: Mr. Fezziwig A Christmas Carol (Goodman Theater), Alan Ginsburg The Chicago Conspiracy Trial (Remains Theatre), Otto The Food Chain (Organic Theatre) and in the premiere production of Do Black Patent Leather Shoes….? (Forum) He appeared as Edna Turnblad 1st Nat’l Broadway tour of Hairspray, the Musical (2 years). Film: Joshua (supporting lead) with F. Murray Abraham and Tony Goldwyn, Wizzo in Dogwalker (supporting). Television: Early Edition (3 episodes), The Untouchables(3 episodes), and Host/Segment Producer for Cosmopolitan Chicago News.
