The Dogs Are Dead
By Carter Franz Feature length Film-Black Comedy Scripted 2 hours
“The Dogs Are Dead” is a coming-of-age dark comedy that stands the test of true friendship and loyalty. Two stories of pairs of friends unfold simultaneously and there are scores to be settled. Their paths cross and finally intersect allowing their lives to be set free from a small town existence. The first story tracks two young thieves, Ronan and Plowden, who are trying to make bigger names for themselves. The second story follows childhood friends, Peter and Sammy, who are stuck in their small mid-western town. They all are trying to turn the corners of their lives and “get the hell out of Dodge”. In the end, the two stories converge and untangle the lives of the players… Some for the worse, some for the better.
