Waite & C.M. Pictures was founded in 1987 and Planet III, Inc. in 1996. Originally, Waite & C.M. Pictures was created to develop scripts that had more than just a great story. Scripts that would provide synergistic profit centers. In other words, a ‘film’ product and a ‘soundtrack’ product. This approach would help hedge the often times higher risk environment associated with the film industry. Planet III, Inc. was created to help develop and produce those musical elements which would fulfill the soundtrack requirements in the music/film formula. The mission of the two combined entities is to become the premier independent film/music company in the Midwest, creating highly commercial and profitable films with an independent backbone. To achieve this goal within a five year time frame, we have committed to producing a slate of low budget projects that would adhere to our formula and be produced for under $10 million, in and around Chicago. The remainder of this summary will refer to both entities as Planet III.
